As one of the five original state parks, Sebago Lake State Park opened to the public in 1938. Visitors will enjoy swimming, sport fishing, camping, boating, and a 250-site campground which is a popular destination for vacationers. The park is situated on Maine's deepest and second-largest lake and provides year-round recreation. Near the foothills of the White Mountains, the park's 1,400 acres feature sandy beaches, extensive woodlands, ponds, bogs, and rivers, which offer a diverse habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal life.
