Fort Pownall

Located in Stockton Springs, Fort Pownal, also known as Fort Point, was built on the shore of the Penobscot River in 1758 during the French and Indian War. The fort never saw use and was destroyed during the American Revolutionary War. The remains are located at Fort Point State Park.
