LD 1815 An Act To Authorize a General Fund Bond Issue To Improve Multimodal Facilities, Highways and Bridges, Sen. Hamper (R-Oxford) (Governor’s Bill)
This bond for $100 million will be used for construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of highways and bridges and for facilities and equipment related to ports, harbors, marine transportation, freight and passenger railroads, aviation, transit and bicycle and pedestrian trails, and will be matched by an estimated $137 million in federal and other funds. MTA testified in support of this bill which would appear on the November ballot if passed by the Legislature. The bill did not have a work session and is still in committee. It will be finalized if there is a Special Session.
