LD 390, Making Unified Appropriations and Allocations for the Expenditures of State Government

The Governor's budget. 

MTA Position: Opposes the lodging tax increasing to 10%

                      Opposes the sales tax expansion on a number of currently exempt services

                      Supports the creation of a transient rental platform registration and collection of lodging tax on those properties

                      Supports lowering income tax rates by 3% to offset 3% surtax

Amended version: No increase in lodging tax

                              No expansion of sales tax

                             Repeals 3 percent surtax

Status: Enacted and signed into law July 4th (Public Law 284)
