Nestled in a wooded valley, Potter’s Place is a part of the grounds of an 19th century New England homestead and an operating tree farm.

The camping area encompasses over one hundred and sixty acres of woods and fields, with a six-acre pond developed from a spring-fed stream.

The grounds include an indoor recreation area with separate lounge and game/function rooms, two utility buildings with hot showers and flush toilets, and a dumping station.  There is a heated swimming pool, and lawn areas are maintained for outdoor games.

There are one hundred sites (with electric and water hookups, picnic tables and fireplaces) scattered among pines and hardwoods, over-looking the water or bordering open fields. All sites offer a maximum of privacy while maintaining a congenial camping atmosphere.

Holding tank pump-out service for Black Water is performed on a regular basis at minimal cost.

This area is designed for adults of all ages - from honeymooners to retired persons, including those family campers who desire a temporary break from children.  It will have an especial appeal to artist, bird watchers, camera enthusiast -- to all those who love nature.

The emphasis in the operation of Potter’s Place is toward the aesthetics - - environmental preservation, conservation of plants and wildlife, the development of nature trails, and expansion of floral gardens, while at the same time maintaining the old New England agricultural motif.

Only a half-hours drive to the ocean beaches, forty-five minutes to the historic Old Port of Portland, within an hour of the mountain lakes region, and less than two hours from downtown Boston.

Potter’s Place is conveniently situated within twelve miles of the churches, shopping centers, and amusements of Rochester, New Hampshire and six miles of those of Sanford, Maine.
