Maine Tourism Relief Fund, Founded by Poland Spring and the Maine Tourism Association

The Maine Tourism Relief Fund, Founded by Poland Spring and the Maine Tourism Association was created to provide relief to small businesses and their employees experiencing great hardship as a result of business closures in the state due to COVID-19.

Through this fund, grants will be made to small businesses based in the state of Maine who work in tourism-related industries for companies with less than 50 people who have been impacted by coronavirus. It also helps their employees who have experienced a decrease in wages or loss of employment. Grants will be awarded as quickly as possible to those who meet eligibility criteria, as reviewed and verified by the Maine Tourism Association.

How To Get Involved

Right now, you can make a huge difference in the lives of small businesses and their employees in the state of Maine by donating to the Maine Tourism Relief Fund. And if you have been impacted by a loss of business or decrease in income, you can apply for financial assistance.

Stay-at-home orders, necessary to curb the spread of the disease, have closed restaurants, retail outlets, and attractions, and left small motels and B&Bs empty. These small businesses are what makes Maine a unique and special place to live. The give us great food, excellent service, give us experiences that make memories that last a lifetime. They remember your name, they give back to your community, they define our state. Around one in three of Maine’s private sector wage and salary employees work for businesses with fewer than 50 employees — approximately 160,000 Mainers. In the face of this global pandemic, this sector needs our immediate financial support.

Please make a gift of direct support today! 100% of your donation will provide grants to Maine small businesses and their employees demonstrating financial impact from COVID-19.
