Red Cloak Tours are historically based tours throughout coastal Maine. Having been in business for 13 years, we have taken our popular walking tours and adapted them for COVID-19 times. The tours will now be done live by telephone, so that guests can safely keep social distance and have a private, guided tour of their choice.

Topics include history, maritime, haunted history, cemetery explorations and more. These new TeleTours are available in 9 different communities - Freeport, Bath, Damariscotta, Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset, Hallowell, Camden, Rockland and Bar Harbor.

We also offer gift certificates for future tours, as well as books, and when we can fully open again, we will add our Tidbit Tasting Tours to the choices above and custom tours

When "back to normal," several types of tours will be available as well as custom tours designed to meet your interests.

Lighthouse Legends, Lore & Haunts Cruise in the fall is a 3-4 hour boat trip to see several lighthouses and then landing on an island to explore and see the only original light tower left in the state. We also have several lighthouse packages that are driving tours.

Our Twilight Haunted History Tours are a fun mix of history and ghost stories, particular to the town they are located in. Folklore, legends, first hand accounts of haunts and little known history are all discussed on the 90 minute walking tour.

Tidbit Tasting Tours offer "tidbits" of food specialties along with "tidbits" of history about the foods and the associated buildings. These are also walking tours, lasting 2-3 hours.and often showcasing iconic Maine foods.

Our Historic Cemetery Tours are daytime tours explaining symbolism, trends & styles, funereal practices of the 1700 and 1800's, as well as insight into those interred there and more.

Maritime History and Mystery Tours are waterfront walking tours taking you back to the early days of waterfront industries, fishing, shipbuilding, etc.and noting modern maritime businesses as well. Lighthouses, pirates, ins and outs of lobster, naval activity are discussed, and mysteries such as sea serpents, shipwrecks and buried treasure!

Walking tours of 8 Maine Villages - Boothbay Harbor, Bath, Damariscotta, Wiscasset, Camden, Rockland, Hallowell, and Bar Harbor. Cemetery Tours, Lighthouse Tours and custom tours are also available.
