On the shores of Sebec Lake, the 839-acres of Peaks-Kenny State Park offer visitors a peaceful setting in which to enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and picnicking, and campers will enjoy 56 sites set among the trees and boulders. The Park boasts more than a mile of shoreline along Sebec Lake, offering a sandy swimming beach staffed by a lifeguard during the summer season, and has stunning views of Borestone Mountain. The expansive 10-mile lake is a great destination for wildlife watchers, and ten miles of gentle hiking trails offer the outdoor enthusiast a chance to enjoy the hemlocks and pines.
