This program is for anyone who wants to combine their love or art and the outdoors. There will be instruction on water color basics and hiking to get inspired and lots of painting. Friday evening before dinner join fellow group members for social time and appetizers. That evening the group will have the opportunity to meet and go on a short walk to the pond to get to know each other and the area. Saturday morning after a delicious breakfast there will be instruction on basic watercolor techniques then shortly after that, participants will go on a hike up Indian Mountain with AMC Registered Maine Guides to get inspiration. Don't forget your sketch book or camera because after our hike we will paint our inspirations. AMC will provide all of the supplies and helpful instruction to create wonderful masterpieces to take home to remember your time in the Maine Woods. After dinner enjoy a relaxing evening around the campfire socializing, looking at the stars, and more water coloring. Sunday morning before departing enjoy a short walk along the Pleasant River, getting more inspirations for painting to do in the future.
Guests are lodged in the bunkhouse or private rustic cabins with capacities ranging from two to twelve people. All cabins contain wood stoves, gas lights and beds. Bedding is not provided in the bunkhouse. Hearty breakfasts and dinners are served family style each morning and evening in the lodge dining room. Each morning lodge staff prepares trail lunches for each participant that are available after breakfast. Rates Include Lodging, meals, art supplies, and guided activities.
