Explore one of Maine’s most remote rivers , where we will discover wild streams, ponds, woods, flora, and fauna through canoeing, and fishing. 5 day tour from July 23 -27
The Moose River is part of the Holeb’s Public Reserve Land in a remote wilderness located in western Maine. The Moose River Bow Loop is a 34-mile canoe loop encompassing Attean Pond, Holeb Pond and the Moose River. We will paddle over scenic lakes and through Class I-II rapids. There are two major portages on this canoe trek with the longest being 1.25 miles. You will carry food, water, canoes, and paddles through each portage. The secluded canoeing, swimming, wildlife watching, and fishing will make the challenge and adventure of this trip a highlight of your summer. This trek is one of the Summer Program Staff’s favorite trips each year!
