Join us at Gorman Lodge and Cabins for a yoga retreat that combines restorative practices with daily hikes and paddling adventures on Long Pond. Designed for beginners, but open to all participants, this weekend will focus on the basics of yoga, Tai Chi, and mindfulness mediation led by certified yoga and Tai Chi instructor, Ruth Innes. Escape to Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness to unplug and reset with this rejuvenating program. Yoga mats will be provided to registered participants, but you are welcome to bring your own mat.

Itinerary

Friday

•Check in after 2 pm

•5:00 pm Short hike on Hermit Point trail

•6:00 pm Dinner

•7:30 pm Welcome and orientation

Saturday

•6:30 am Sunrise yoga

•8:00 am Breakfast

•9:00 - 3:00 pm Third Mountain hike (6-mile moderate climb with elevation gain of 2000 ft.)

•1:00 pm Tai Chi on the summit (weather permitting)

•4:00 pm Yoga cool down

•6:00 pm Dinner

•7:30 pm Evening program (themes range from astronomy to local wildlife)

Sunday

•6:30 am Sunrise yoga

•8:00 am Breakfast

•9:00 am Paddle on Long Pond (SUP, canoes, and kayaks available)

•11:00 am Meditation practice

Ruth Innes is an outdoor sports professional and a Yoga/Taiji instructor who has taught at varying locations throughout Massachusetts (Canyon Ranch, Kripalu, Dalton Community Center.) She now lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where she teaches skiing, leads hikes, and teaches both Yoga and Taiji classes in the Bretton Woods area (AMC, Omni Mount Washington Hotel.)
