Check out the autumn colors at our beautiful remote Maine Lodges.
AMC Registered Maine Guides will take you out hiking up a nearby Mountain to see amazing colors and views of Baxter State Park. This 6 mile round trip hike up Shaw Mountain is a moderate climb to some amazing view points that showcase Katahdin and the surrounding 100 Mile Wilderness. Along with the Shaw Mountain hike there will be sunset walks, canoeing on 2nd roach ponds (with a lot of opportunities to see Moose), free natural history talks and evening programs. Going with a guide is a great way to explore and get to know the Maine Woods in a deeper and richer way.
Guests are lodged in the bunkhouse or private rustic cabins with capacities ranging from two to twelve people. All cabins contain wood stoves, gas lights and beds. Bedding and towels are provided in the Private cabins. Hearty breakfasts and dinners are served family style each morning and evening in the lodge dining room. Each morning lodge staff prepares trail lunches for each participant that are available after breakfast. Travel times and guided will vary depending on abilities and weather.
*Rates include lodging, meals, and guided activities. "Starting at" rates are based on shared bunkroom or bunkhouse accommodations; there may be an extra charge for private accommodations.
