But, did you know that there are dozens of amazing craft gins being distilled right here in Maine? From local botanicals to unique base ingredients to unusual styles, Maine distillers are going big in the gin category and creating exceptional spirits that are sure to take your cocktails to the next level.

We are excited to welcome Tammy Coxen - author, mixologist and Chief Tasting Officer of Tammy's Tastings - for a Maine Gin Adventure. Join Tammy at Maine Tasting Center to explore this supremely versatile spirit and its many uses. Learn how gin is made, taste a variety of unique Maine-made gins, and practice mixing several different classic and modern gin cocktails.

This hands-on class will take place in our brand new Learning Center. All equipment and ingredients will be provided during the class and you will leave with product lists and recipes so you can recreate your favorite cocktails at home.

About Tammy Coxen:

Tammy Coxen is a professional cocktail enthusiast and the Chief Tasting Officer of Tammy's Tastings. Since 2011 she has been teaching interactive hands-on cocktail classes to individuals, groups, and companies for events ranging from parties to corporate team building. In 2020 she took those classes online, exploring the history, stories, and mixing techniques behind some of the world's most famous cocktails. She is the co-author of the cocktail book Cheers to Michigan, co-host of a regular cocktail segment on Michigan Radio (her local NPR affiliate) and has written for Hour Detroit magazine and other publications. Her favorite drink is usually the one she’s never tried before.
